When you visit the website

When you visit cafebullen.se, technical information such as your IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser and device information may be processed to deliver the website, protect it against misuse and resolve technical problems.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website. The information is retained only for as long as needed for operation, security and troubleshooting and is then deleted or anonymised, unless it must be retained to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

The website is hosted on server infrastructure powered by environmentally certified electricity from renewable sources.

When you contact or order from us

When you email, call or make a catering enquiry, we process the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, message, requested items, number of guests and preferred time. We use it to reply, prepare a quotation and manage an order.

For enquiries and orders, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract or performing a contract. General enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding. Correspondence is retained while the matter is active and afterwards only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up or legal claims. Information forming part of accounting records is retained as required by applicable accounting law.

Suppliers and recipients

Personal data may be processed by suppliers providing hosting, technical operation, backups and email services. They may process data only to the extent necessary to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data or share it for our own or another party’s direct marketing.

Google Analytics

If you actively consent to Analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-5QJCN709YP, to understand how the website is used and improve its content, navigation and performance. Google Analytics is not loaded and no measurement data is sent to Google before you consent.

After consent, Google Analytics may process pages viewed, visit and session duration, approximate location, referring page, language, screen resolution, browser and device information. Enhanced measurement may record interactions such as scrolling and outbound link clicks. We also record separate events when someone clicks to call, email, get directions, open Foodora, visit our social profiles or use important internal buttons. These events show only the type of click and where on the website it occurred – not the content of an email, a telephone number entered by a visitor, a completed call or an order placed with Foodora.

We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, message text or order information to Google Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the website tag.

The legal basis is your consent. The recipient is Google Ireland Limited. Google uses the IP address at collection time to derive approximate location and states that individual IP addresses from visitors in the EU/EEA are discarded before measurement data is logged. Google may process other information outside the EU/EEA under the safeguards described in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s data transfer frameworks.

User- and event-level data is retained only for as long as needed to understand and improve use of the website and is then deleted or anonymised. Aggregated information in standard reports may remain available for longer. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. New measurement will then stop and the website’s Analytics cookies will be removed.

Google Maps and external services

An embedded Google Maps map loads directly on the home and contact pages. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address, technical browser information, approximate location and cafebullen.se as the referring domain. Google may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security, preferences and its own processing. The map loads independently of whether you accept Google Analytics.

We use the map so visitors can quickly find the café and view public place information. Our processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing this function. Google is responsible for its further processing under Google’s Privacy Policy and may process information outside the EU/EEA under the safeguards it describes.

When you click directions, Google reviews or another external link, you leave cafebullen.se and the external service’s terms apply.

Instagram images shown on the home page are retrieved by our server and stored locally. Merely viewing the feed therefore does not send visitor data to Instagram. When you click Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps or another external link, you leave our website and that service’s terms apply.

Cookies and local storage

Necessary WordPress cookies may be used when authorised administrators sign in, but not during an ordinary public visit. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies only after consent:

  • _ga is a first-party cookie containing a random client ID used to distinguish visitors.
  • _ga_5QJCN709YP is a first-party cookie that maintains information about the visitor’s session.

Both Analytics cookies are retained for no more than 180 days from the initial consent and their expiry is not renewed on each page view. The browser may apply a shorter period.

Your cookie choice is stored in the browser’s local storage under the name cb_analytics_consent_v1 for no more than 180 days. It contains only the granted or denied choice and an expiry time, is not sent to us and can be changed through “Cookie settings”.

Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or data portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
